Method Detail

submit

public void submit(Collection<Sample> samples)

Submits a collection of samples to each of the underlying SampleProcessors. Calls to submit(Collection) are non-blocking unless the pool is unable to keep up and the queue becomes full.

Parameters:

shutdown

public void shutdown()
              throws InterruptedException

Calls shutdown() on the underlying thread pool executor.

Throws:

InterruptedException

awaitShutdown

public boolean awaitShutdown(long timeout,
                    TimeUnit unit)
                      throws InterruptedException

Invokes awaitShutdown() on the underlying thread pool executor.

Parameters:

timeout - the maximum time to wait

unit - the time unit of the timeout argument

Returns:

true if this executor terminated and false if the timeout elapsed before termination

Throws:

InterruptedException
