The TaskEndstatePreprocessor allows to implement customized behaviour before the given Task goes into an end state (cancelled, terminated or completed).

Task processTaskBeforeEndstate(Task taskToProcess)

Perform any action before a Task goes into an end state. A Task goes into an end state at the end of the following methods: TaskService.completeTask(String), TaskService.cancelTask(String), TaskService.terminateTask(String).

This SPI is executed within the same transaction staple as TaskService.completeTask(String), TaskService.cancelTask(String), TaskService.terminateTask(String).

This SPI is executed with the same UserPrincipal and GroupPrincipal as in the methods mentioned above.

Parameters:

taskToProcess - the Task to preprocess

Returns:

the modified Task. IMPORTANT: persistent changes to the Task have to be managed by the service provider
