All user-defined java steps must extends this class. An implementation of StepJava must not be a pipe final Step. It must have a following step. It must not be a root pipe Step.

setDestination

public void setDestination(net.sf.saxon.s9api.Destination nextStep)

Defines the next step in the pipeline. This call must be done when constructing the pipeline. A StepJava must not be a terminal Step.

Parameters:

nextStep - The next step to process

getNextReceiver

protected net.sf.saxon.event.Receiver getNextReceiver(net.sf.saxon.Configuration config)
                                               throws net.sf.saxon.s9api.SaxonApiException

Use this method when you construct the ProxyReceiver in Destination.getReceiver(Configuration)

Parameters:

config - The config to use.

Returns:

The receiver of the next step

Throws:

net.sf.saxon.s9api.SaxonApiException - If something goes wrong

setParameter

public void setParameter(net.sf.saxon.s9api.QName name,
                net.sf.saxon.s9api.XdmValue value)

Defines a parameter

Parameters:

name - Param name...

value - and Param value

getParameter

public net.sf.saxon.s9api.XdmValue getParameter(net.sf.saxon.s9api.QName name)

Returns the parameter value, or null if it does not exists.

Parameters:

name - The parameter name

Returns:

The Parameter value, if defined

close

public void close()
           throws net.sf.saxon.s9api.SaxonApiException

Propagates the close on the chain. Transform are actually done one close() call. See Saxon mailing list
